Recommended for stoves with external or internal air supply and without a bottom grate, where an airtight design meeting modern requirements is needed. Glass-washing air is supplied from every direction—from below, both sides and above—helping ensure that the glass remains clean.
Combustion air is introduced through an air damper made of acid-resistant material and equipped with a regulator; its control can be routed to the front or to any side of the stove. The high-quality stainless steel does not rust, so condensation that may occur beneath the firebox does not cause problems, ensuring a long service life.
The incoming combustion air enters the combustion chamber through side and rear grates known as modules. Compared with double-shell bio and eco combustion chambers built from fireclay masonry or channeled with fireclay, this system has the advantage that cast iron has a thermal conductivity almost 100 times higher and a density approximately 4 times greater than fireclay. This allows the fire to be supplied with hotter combustion air and enables the outer stove cladding to heat up more quickly. The system has a long service life, is easier to install, and has lower purchase and maintenance costs than bio combustion chambers.

The weight of the fireplace inserts ranges between 100-200 kg. You do not need to worry about logistics: in addition to delivery, personal collection at our premises (Pilisszentlászló) is also available, and we provide professional loading into your vehicle as part of our service. For transport by passenger car, we carefully shrink-wrap the product; for palletized transport, we prepare it securely strapped.
Any chimney system suitable for solid and wood fuel is adequate, provided its internal diameter meets or exceeds the flue collar diameter of the chosen firebox (160 or 180 mm). Officially, the connection must be carried out by a qualified professional who will issue a contractor’s declaration—based on this, the chimney sweeping authority issues the permit for use.
We continuously keep basic types in stock, but since every customer comes with unique needs, we assemble the fireboxes customized with the chosen options (custom external air connection, design handles, leg structure). If the selected configuration is currently out of stock, the manufacturing time is generally only 1-2 weeks. In urgent cases, this can be shortened through individual consultation.
We offer a 5-year factory warranty on all Benkel fireplace inserts, which can be extended. Our fireboxes are made of massive, thermal shock-resistant cast iron, meaning they are designed for decades of continuous operation. Our very first models, manufactured 35 years ago, still operate flawlessly in Hungarian homes today. All our products have official TÜV certification.
Yes, completely. Thanks to our modern combustion technology developments, precise upper and lower air control, and external air connection, our fireboxes operate with high efficiency (basic types 77-78%, models with heat recovery units 82-83%) and extremely low emissions, thus fulfilling strict European and domestic standards.
