What is the process for ordering a fireplace insert?

How do I know if the fireplace inserts are in stock?
Basic type fireplace inserts are available in stock, but we generally manufacture to order. This way, the offered options (external air supply, design handle, flue pipe connection size, leg structure, etc.) are custom-manufactured.
What is the manufacturing time for a fireplace insert?
If the requested fireplace insert or other product is not in stock, the manufacturing time is generally 1-2 weeks. In urgent cases, it can be resolved in a shorter time.
How does handover work, and is delivery available?
Yes, we can deliver it or arrange for delivery, but personal collection at our premises (Pilisszentlászló) is also possible. Our fireplace inserts can even be transported in an estate car (station wagon), but for easier unloading at the destination, it is more practical to arrive with a panel van or minibus.
Are the fireplace inserts packaged during transport?
We accommodate the customer’s request. The packaging method depends on the vehicle used for transport. For passenger cars, we only use shrink wrap, but if a forklift or pallet jack is available at the unloading site, we can also palletize and strap it.
How heavy is a fireplace insert? Do you help with loading?
The weight of a fireplace insert generally ranges between 100-200 kg. Fireplace inserts with a water jacket or other heat recovery systems are handed over in two parts, pre-assembled. This allows two people to move the units. We do the loading, this is included in our services!
How is payment made?
Payment can be made by bank transfer invoice before the fireplace insert is received, or in the case of personal collection at our premises, a cash invoice is also possible. By default, we do not issue advance invoices; an advance payment is only required if a custom appliance is being manufactured (custom firebox depth, possibly a custom frame structure, etc.).
What is the lifespan of the fireplace inserts? What kind of warranty is provided?
The fireplace inserts we manufacture are mainly made of cast iron elements, which resist thermal shock and prolonged high temperatures. Like the old cast iron stoves, our products are designed for continuous operation over decades. Our oldest fireboxes, manufactured approx. 35 years ago, are still used with great satisfaction today.
We offer a 5-year warranty on all our fireplace inserts, which can be further extended, just as with other technical goods.
What does the price shown on the website include?
The price of the fireboxes includes all upper and lower controls and closing mechanisms necessary for reliable operation: the upper draft regulator butterfly valve and its control lever, as well as the lower air regulator. For our modern fireplace inserts, the external air connection option and its regulator are also included in the price.
How should the fireplace inserts be maintained?
Before lighting the fire every day, it is recommended to sweep the accumulated ash and remaining coal on the grate into the ash pan and empty it so that the fuel gets sufficient air. Major maintenance is not required. Once a year, at the end of the heating season, it is worth lifting out the grates, pulling out the ash drawer, and vacuuming the accumulated ash behind and below it. For water-jacketed fireplaces, it is also necessary to clean the soot and tar layer accumulated on the pipes of the tank at the end of the heating season.
Is a permit required to install a fireplace?
Officially, fireplace construction and connection can only be carried out by a qualified stove and fireplace builder. They will issue a contractor’s declaration for the installation, which is checked by the disaster management authority, and based on this, a chimney sweeping technical inspection protocol is issued, stating that the fireplace and chimney are fit for use.
What kind of chimney is needed for a fireplace?
Any ready-to-use flue gas exhaust system suitable for solid wood firing is adequate. It can be a concrete-cased chimney with fireclay lining (Leier, Schiedel, Bakonytherm) or an assembled double-wall acid-proof chimney system. It is important that the internal diameter of the chimney must not be smaller than the flue collar diameter of the appliance to be connected. When installing a chimney, attention must be paid to the connection height, which should be placed between approx. 1.5-2 m for easier connection.
