Water-jacketed fireplace inserts

Water-jacketed fireplace inserts and fireboxes are wood-burning heating appliances capable of completely serving the central heating system of a house.

Their structure generally consists of a lower firebox and a water tank mounted on top, but they can also be combined with a lower water jacket. The latter solution is recommended for installation in small rooms where high air-heating output is not required. Our water tanks are structures featuring longitudinal flame tubes, welded from high-quality boiler plate steel.

Our fireplaces connectable to central heating are pressurizable structures standing on adjustable legs and equipped with a cast iron combustion chamber. Due to their design and large glass surface, these products can be placed directly in our living space. Among the fireplace inserts above, both cast iron and sheet metal products can be found. If the power supply to the pump fails, e.g., in the event of a power outage, the cooling system built into our tanks is activated via a thermal valve. Our air-heating fireplace inserts do not require an electrical connection.

For water-jacketed fireplace inserts, we distinguish between water-side and air-heating outputs. The air heating is utilized in the room of installation, while the water-side output delivers the generated heat through various heat-emitting units (radiators, underfloor, wall heating).

It is important to note that this method of heating is just as safe as any other central heating equipment, but naturally, safety fittings must not be forgotten here either. If the cooling system in the water tank is activated according to the recommended instructions, no operational failure will occur, and no pressure increase will take place in the tank.

For satisfactory operation of a water-jacketed fireplace, a proper supply of air is essential, as is the removal of generated flue gas through a dimensioned flue gas extraction chimney. Appliances that can be fed with combustion air drawn from an external air source via an external air duct during construction can also be found in our product range.

• Flame deflector: cannot be used with our water-tank appliances!

When choosing a modern water-jacketed fireplace, pay attention to the following:

• it should be a model equipped with a top water tank,
• the supply and intake of combustion air, as well as the clear glass system, should be implemented,
• and it is advisable to choose an appliance fitted with a cast iron combustion chamber.

When planning our family home, it is important to consider our needs and take the layout of our interior spaces into account so that we can select the appropriate appliance later. For this, we will need the following parameters:

• the volume of the air space to be heated
• the size of the room of installation
• the calculated heat requirement (required output)
• the size of the chimney
• the type and quantity of heat emitters
• whether the planned appliance is intended as a supplementary or primary heating solution.

Maintenance of our water-jacketed fireplace inserts

With proper use, our water-jacketed fireplace inserts do not require special maintenance; it is recommended to physically remove the deposited layer of tar and soot from the walls of the water tank once a year. This allows us to keep the output of our boiler at maximum.

As a Hungarian manufacturer, spare parts for our appliances are immediately available. Our fireplace inserts have been designed so that in the event of any issue, it can be resolved on-site without dismantling the fireplace structure.
